Fountain pens are a slippery slope indeed. That's a nice one you have there. And the nib will be nicely adapted to your handwriting by now. Especially after 40 years of use.
I have a few fountain pens, including my High School Parker 51 which also took me through college. Its finely precise point was ideal for studies leading to my degree in Geological Engineering. Your broad nib on that fine Mt Blanc, on the other hand, would suggest a degree in the arts - certainly something in the humanities.

Got it in one! Degree in Fine/applied Arts - Photography from Ryerson University, though it was called Ryerson Polytechnic when I was there.
