One alternative is to typecast and shoot images of your typings with the iPad camera, that way you don't need to use a scanner. Just ensure you use adequate light with the iPad camera, then you can edit the photo before uploading it.
I have a smith-corona sterling with 5ax serial number i do not use any longer and am looking to get rid of. It has hard case with key, original manual and other documents such as original 5 year warrenty slip.
